Alkemy X Signs International Director Bernie Roux To Companys Diverse Roster of Talents

Alkemy X has welcomed international Director Bernie Roux to the company's expanding roster of creative talent. Roux won a Bronze Lion earlier this year at the 2015 Cannes Advertising Festival for his breakthrough Samsonite campaign. Alkemy X represents Roux on the east coast and in the Midwest.

Bernie's Samsonite campaign is outstanding, says Alkemy X Director of Production/EP Jim Huie. It's some of the best creative we've seen in a long time, as is proven by its Bronze Lion at Cannes. Bernie has a great eye for casting and he approaches live-action coverage with the same level of detailed choreography seen in his animation work.

Bernie Roux is an internationally acclaimed and award-winning Director and is currently the Executive Creative Director at the Prague-based production company Eallin. His most recent accolade is winning a Bronze Lion at Cannes in the film category along with a Silver Clio in New York in 2015. Having more than 20 years experience in the film and animation industry, Bernie has shot more than 150 television commercials, idents and PSA's. Originally from South Africa, Bernie has lived and worked around the world, from Auckland to Moscow, Johannesburg to Mumbai, London to Stockholm and most places in between. His work has a strong grounding in traditional animation and he is most comfortable when he gets to mix several mediums together. His repertoire includes traditional 2D & stop-motion through, pixilation to live-action and 3D/CGI.

Alkemy Xs reputation as a studio that does amazing work, their attention to detail, and their aptitude for pushing the limits as artists and storytellers, meant there was no hesitation on my part when they approached me to join the team as a Director, concludes Roux. Roux joins the Alkemy X Directorial team, which features the talents of Robert Adamo, James Bartolomeo, Glenn Holsten, Kris Magyarits, Rob Markopoulos, John Romeo, Bex Schwartz and Scott Whitham. Roux is currently in Brussels, Belgium shooting five, 30-second spots for ING Bank via Havas Worldwide, which will air in early 2016.
