(18/09/2013) Norway's largest commercial television broadcaster, TV 2, has selected sport digital and broadcast services market leader deltatre for the provision of official results, Mobile and desktop browser solutions to mark the involvement of TV 2 in the upcoming 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
The digital sports media group will provide the Norwegian broadcaster with the deltatre Podium Results System, a cutting-edge solution offering users a rich sport experience that delivers comprehensive online Games coverage.
As part of deltatre's sports Video Solution offering, TV 2 will integrate some of the Diva features in their proprietary, a combination of synchronised data and video to allow fans to enjoy sport events on multiple devices like never before.
Additionally, deltatre will provide the Norwegian broadcaster with the Official TV 2 Apps for smartphones and tablets. The Apps, which will be available for both Android and iOS, include features such as Official Results, Video Workflow integration, Events schedule, Medals and athletes' information as well as customisable alerts, news and photos.
deltatre's and TV 2's involvement goes beyond the traditional mobile solution and offers an immersive way to experience the Winter Games, live and in real-time.

deltatre's Desktop Browser solution consists of a library of Gadgets to bring together the diversity of sports fans: with rich live sports information, fans will be able to engage with Medals, Country and Live Now widgets. All features have been specifically adapted for the online Norwegian sports community and will provide an interactive way for fans to control their viewing experience.

TV 2 is the largest commercial television station in Norway with a 19,5% market share. TV 2 started to broadcast on 5 September 1992. They have a license to broadcast national commercial television until the end of 2015 for commercial terrestrial television. Their headquarters are located in Bergen. In 1992, TV 2 A/S was admitted as full active member of the European Broadcasting Union. As is common with television and cinema in Norway, foreign-language shows are subtitled in Norwegian, not dubbed (with a notable exception being childrens programmes). TV 2 is the rightholder of the Olympic Games in Sotsji 2014 and Rio 2016.
