Willow - arguably the home for anyone looking for live, streaming, and on-demand coverage of cricket - has launched a Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) channel, Willow Sports, via Prime Video. An add-on subscription for Willow.tv also is available on Prime Video in the U.S.
Cricket is winning over fans across North America, and Willow is fueling this growing passion by offering unmatched access to the sport, says Willow COO Todd Myers. With our launch of two major offerings - the Willow Sports FAST channel and Willow's add-on subscription on Prime Video - fans can enjoy even more ways to watch live matches and highlights. The ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup offers an incredible stage to spotlight rising stars and deliver must-watch moments, like Team USA's much-anticipated faceoff against Pakistan, to an even broader audience.
Willow is the home of cricket in North America and the only platform that reaches more than 5 million South Asians in the U.S. and Canada. The service connects advertisers and brands with an affluent and well-educated audience of passionate fans of the most popular sport of the fastest-growing demographic in the U.S., the Asian Indian community.
To celebrate this launch, Willow Sports will stream a majority of matches from the ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup Jan. 17-Feb. 2. The matches will include the highly anticipated clash between Team USA and Pakistan on Jan. 17 at 10:30 p.m. PT; fans will be looking to see if Team USA can replicate the men's stunning upset against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup this past summer. Customers can access the matches at no additional cost through the Live TV section on Prime Video in the U.S. and on Sling Freestream, Fubo, DistroTV, Plex, Free Live Sports, and other platforms.
For an additional $9.99 per month, customers in the U.S. can purchase Willow's add-on subscription via Prime Video. The subscription offers comprehensive cricket coverage - live matches, highlights from major cricket boards and tournaments worldwide - accessible on their favorite devices.
This is the latest of many new deployments for Willow, which recently launched Willow Sports and partnered with several streaming services and regional sports networks - Fubo, YES Network, ROOT Sports, NBC Sports Bay Area, Monumental Sports, Bally Sports - around the 2024 Major League Cricket season.
