S o Paulo, January 9, 2023 - Memory will not die , sings Milton Nascimento in Sentinel, the song chosen for the soundtrack of the trailer for The Endless Night, released this Monday. The Brazilian fictional miniseries inspired by the true story of the fire at the Kiss nightclub, which took the lives of 242 young people in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, in 2013, debuts on the streaming service on January 25.

With general direction by Julia Rezende, direction by Carol Min m and a script by Gustavo Lipsztein, the production is based on the book The Endless Night: The Untold Story of Kiss Nightclub (2018), written by the award-winning journalist Daniela Arbex. In 5 episodes, the fictional limited series reveals the untold story of what is considered one of the greatest tragedies in Brazil - from the police investigation of the circumstances that led to the fire to the beginning of the tireless fight for justice waged by the families of the victims, which still continues 10 years later.

The Endless Night cast includes renowned artists such as Debora Lamm, Thelmo Fernandes, Paulo Gorgulho, Bianca Byington, Leonardo Medeiros, Raquel Karro and Bel Kowarick - who play characters whose lives were shattered by the loss of their children -, in addition to Erom Cordeiro and Laila Zaid, who play the police officers responsible for investigating the case, and Fl vio Bauraqui as the lawyer for the families. Paola Antonini, Nicolas Vargas, Manu Morelli, Luan Vieira, Miguel Roncato and Sandro Aliprandini play young victims of the tragedy.

Produced by Morena Filmes for Netflix, the executive production for the miniseries is by Mariza Le o, Tiago Rezende and Gustavo Lipsztein, with creative consultancy by Daniela Arbex.
