A new detective in town?: Yonda Thomas joins Generations: The Legacy'There are reports that Thomas's new character, has replaced Nebulane's, who's been playing Detective Pele Malinga since 2018.

Actor, Andile Nebulane, who plays the role of Detective Malinga, on Mzansi's second-most-watched soapie, Generations: The Legacy has reportedly exited the show.

Nebulane who's been playing the detective role since April 2018 has hinted that he exited the show on his Instagram account.

-- NEBULANE'S HINTS EXIT He posted a picture of a script on a table yesterday (17 October) and hinted that he's working on a new show with the caption:

Two shows, two very different characters, same time let's go!!!

Nebulane's character, Detective Dali Pele' Malinga is currently engaged to #Ezwini's Communications shareholder, Ayanda Majola (Samela Tyelbooi).

The TVSA teasers have suggested that he and Ayanda will break up towards the end of October when season seven ends and that Pele will get fired in November.

The Thursday 28 October 2021 teaser reads:

Ayanda's had enough of criticism and turns the tables on her man.

The Monday Wednesday 24 November teaser reads:

Pele is unimpressed to hear his services are no longer wanted nor required.

The actor has also announced that he's opening a new restaurant, Newlands Caf which might explain his sudden exit from the soapie.

-- A NEW DETECTIVE IN TOWN? Entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela, announced on his Twitter account yesterday (17 October) that former Isidingo star, Yonda Thomas who played the role of Detective Malinga has joined the SABC 1 soapie.

Fans of the soapie have speculated that Thomas's new character will replaced Nebulane's though details of his new character are still unclear at this stage.
