EVO Shared Storage Server Integrates High-Performance, Extensive Connectivity Options for NewTek TriCaster and 3Play

Las Vegas, NV, NAB Conference, Booth #SL10827 (April 7, 2014)-Studio Network Solutions (SNS), manufacturer of the industry leading EVO shared storage system for video and audio workgroups, today announced its entrance into the NewTek Developer Network. This allows integration of EVO servers with NewTek TriCaster multi-camera live video production and 3Play integrated sports production systems.

EVO is a complete shared media storage server that includes project/asset management functionality, quota features, and storage scalability for production teams of any size. The All in One Box EVO system combines a 4K-ready high-performance storage array with extensive connectivity options including 10Gb Ethernet and Fibre Channel.

Using TriCaster and 3Play with SNS EVO, users can enhance their capabilities by, for example, capturing directly to EVO's RAID protected shared storage, commented Ryan Stoutenborough, President, SNS. This means that editors, producers, and others in the workgroup all have instant, shared access to the same content, allowing for a much more efficient production workflow.

Using EVO and TriCaster in a live production, users can capture up to 8 camera ISOs directly to EVO, while playing back GFX and DDR content such as stills, clips, and audio from EVO without limiting other network sources such as iVGA, Airplay, LiveText, or other IP based solutions.

EVO includes ShareBrowser-a rich client interface similar to Finder/Explorer but created by SNS for professional media teams. ShareBrowser brings storage and project/media management together into a single comprehensive window, and enables users to search across all EVO storage as well as local, offline, and other network disks. This enables TriCaster and 3Play content and other assets to be centrally stored and immediately accessible for easier editing, searching, and previewing.

EVO can be a SAN, a NAS, or both at the same time, and is developed and tuned for the demanding workflow needs of TV, film, video, graphics, VFX, animation, audio, and broadcast production environments.
