Story Highlights

The NAMM Show 2025 is rolling out the red carpet for pro audio once again, and the carpet is arguably redder and wider than ever. Here's a sampling of what will be on exhibit at the Anaheim Convention Center Jan. 23-25.

The brands lineup covers all the major categories: consoles (Solid State Logic, DiGiCo), live sound (L-Acoustics, d&b audiotechnik, EAW, Meyer Sound), software (Audinate, Avid, Waves), processing (Blackmagic Design, E-V, Neutrik), microphones (Shure, Sennheiser, DPA, Sony), speakers (Genelec), and more. (All booth locations are in the North Hall unless otherwise noted.)

Audio-Technica (Booth 15313) will show its AT-UMX3 USB mixer, which is a finalist for the 2025 NAMM TEC Awards.

Avid VENUE platform

Avid (Booth 15102) will demonstrate both software and hardware, such as its iconic Pro Tools and Sibelius programs and its VENUE and EUCON mix platforms.

Audinate (Booth 17403) will offer three days of hands-on Dante training at the Hilton Anaheim on Level 4, Laguna Room, on the convention-center campus. Classes are held on the show's Educational Day, Jan. 22, as well as during the show on Jan. 23 and 24. This year's NAMM curriculum features an introductory Dante Boot Camp, Dante Certification Levels 1 and 2, an Introduction to Managed Switch class, and two new classes, Dante Platform Overview and Designing with AVoIP.

Blackmagic Design (Booth 15703) will highlight its Blackmagic 12G G3 audio monitor, a 1RU rack-mount solution. The new model features 10G Ethernet SMPTE 2110 IP input to allow monitoring of IP broadcast systems without an external converter and includes a large audio meter with accurate ballistics; 12G-SDI input for SD, HD and Ultra HD support; balanced analog XLR, HiFi and AES/EBU inputs; and HDMI video output for monitoring SDI and IP video sources.

Clear-Com (Yamaha Grand Plaza Stage outdoors between the Anaheim Marriott and Hilton Anaheim hotels) returns as official intercom supplier for the Yamaha Grand Plaza Stage. Mastermind Production Group, Clear-Com's long-time partner, will manage the stage's audio production, integrating intercom into production. The Yamaha Grand Plaza Stage will deploy the Clear-Com Arcadia Central Station and FreeSpeak II digital wireless intercom and FreeSpeak Edge systems.

Dolby (various locations) will feature several events related to Dolby Atmos, including product demonstrations by Nugen Audio, Eventide, and Genelec, as well as the integration of Dolby Atmos monitoring into a new Harrison (Booth 18301) 16-channel 32Classic console.

Lawo mc 36 MkII console

Lawo (Booth 17306) will unveil several advances in its audio-production applications. The v.12.0.0 software update for its flagship mc 56 MkIII and mc 36 MkII consoles redefines the capabilities of the mc audio consoles powered by the A__UHD Core Audio Engine and adds native support for the HOME mc DSP App.

Sennheiser Spectera

Sennheiser (Booth 17502) will showcase the new Spectera bidirectional, digital wireless ecosystem featuring WMAS (Wireless Multichannel Audio Systems) technology and offering low-latency bodypacks that can simultaneously accommodate both digital IEM and mic/line signals. Its HD 490 PRO reference studio headphones and related-brand Neumann's KK 104/105 U universal capsule for wireless systems are nominated for TEC Awards.

Shure (ACC N1) will introduce the MV7I USB microphone and interface. Besides integrating with the Shure MOTIV app, it has an onboard audio interface allowing users to record two sources at once and an onboard DSP to customize vocal sound. In addition, Shure's Nexadyne dynamic mic and SLX-D portable digital wireless system are finalists for 2025 NAMM TEC Awards.

Solid State Logic SSL Live V6.0 software

Solid State Logic (Booth 18301) will unveil a studio centerpiece at the show and will also be exhibiting its full range of Audio Creation products, including the U Series range of controllers, interfaces, BiG SiX mixer, and full suite of 500 series modules. Additionally, its new SSL Live V6.0 software will be showcased on the flagship L650 live-sound console.

Waves eMotion LV1 Classic console

Waves (Booth 18304) is showcasing its first fully integrated live-mixing console, the eMotion LV1 Classic. The unit offers a double-precision 32-bit-float mix engine that delivers clarity and headroom at 44.1-96 kHz.

Wisycom (Booth 18106) and DPA Microphones (Booth 18206) recently announced a strategic alliance in the U.S. Wisycom's MTH610 handheld wireless transmitter offers dual-band capability in the 470-1,260 MHz range, remote control via Bluetooth using the Wisycom app, an onboard 32-bit-floating-point internal micro-SD card recorder, and adapters that accept a variety of interchangeable mic capsules. DPA's 2061 Miniature Omni lavalier has a response of 50 Hz-16k Hz, with a soft +3 dB 8k-16k Hz boost to enhance vocal clarity.
