A second company has announced plans to build a new TV and film studio facility in space.

Last week Space Entertainment Enterprise (S.E.E.), a UK-based media company, revealed it is developing SEE-1, described as the world's rst content and entertainment studios and multi-purpose arena in space.

Now, Space 11 Corp is working with Voyager Space company Nanoracks to build a free-flying space station that will function as a soundstage in zero gravity.

The S11S will also include multiple compartments for use as accommodations and sleeping quarters.

Under Space 11 Corp sits Space 11 Studio a film and television studio focused on high-concept science fiction films and television formats shot in space, involving zero-gravity; and Space 11 City a film production facility designed to accommodate high-end film and television productions.

The company says it expects S11S to be operational by late 2027.

We are in discussions with Nanoracks because they are practical and have unmatched experience in taking unique ideas and developing them into real space programmes. Our gradual approach will allow us to explore thrilling in-space media opportunities possible today while also working towards our long-term vision of hosting entertainment events on a customised space station platform dedicated to our viewers.
