Story Highlights
SVG is set for its busiest summer ever, hosting seven events in three months in Atlanta, Denver, Detroit, New York City, and Miami. Whether you can make it to just one or all seven, be sure to register for SVG's upcoming events today.
It all begins with one of our largest and longest-running events, the SVG College Summit on May 29-31 in Atlanta at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center. In June, SVG heads to Denver for The RSN Summit (June 24-25 at the Grand Hyatt Denver) and then Little Caesars Arena in Detroit for the SVG Venue Summit (June 26-27). July brings a pair of back-to-back events to New York City with the Sports Content Management Forum on July 24 (at the Westin New York at Times Square) and the SVG Sports OTT Forum on July 25 (at NYIT Auditorium on Broadway). Finally, SVG heads to Miami in August for the IP Production Forum at the new state-of-the-art Telemundo Center on Aug. 20 and first-annual SVG Soccer Summit: Americas at Mediapro US on Aug. 21.
May 29-31: SVG College Summit, Omni Hotel at CNN Center, Atlanta Back-to-school means planning, so here's another date and opportunity to put in your calendar and discuss with your boss. With more product training events than ever before, the SVG College Summit is vital to your facility and professional performance. In addition, the SVG/NACDA College Sports Media Awards will once again recognize the best in college sports video production, honoring the outstanding work in college sports video productions from campuses across the country and the staff that makes them possible.
The SVG College Summit is the leading, annual conference of college sports communicators and creatives, providing training, education, and ROI case studies about production, distribution, and fan engagement. SVGW also returns to the SVG College Summit in Atlanta with an opportunity for women attending the Summit to network and learn from one another prior to the show on May 29 at 4 p.m. ET. A total of 600 college sports broadcasters, digital producers, information officers, and campus technologists will attend every year, representing 150 different schools and every major college sports broadcaster.
June 24-25: The RSN Summit, Grand Hyatt, Denver The fourth-annual RSN Summit is designed to meet the needs of today's regional sports network leaders and content creators. This Summit provides a gathering place for networking and the exchange of ideas about the pertinent issues facing RSN leaders. As the regional-sports industry undergoes seismic change on multiple fronts, RSNs are facing a unique set of challenges and opportunities. Networks are being challenged to deliver more events and original content at lower costs, while also building beyond the linear distribution model and embracing multiplatform content. Join the most important leaders in the industry to hear how they are confronting these challenges and opportunities head on.
June 26-27: SVG Venue Summit, Little Caesars Arena, Detroit SVG travels to the Motor City for a two-day SVG Venue Summit at Little Caesars Arena - home of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and NBA's Detroit Pistons. Go behind the scenes at the state-of-the-art venue and learn about the latest production, technology, and integration trends that are having an impact on fan engagement and entertainment. The SVG Venue Summit kicks off on the evening of Wednesday, June 26, with an Opening Night Networking Reception in downtown Detroit at the Detroit Foundation Hotel. On Thursday, June 27, the SVG Venue Summit shifts to Little Caesars Arena, where attendees will be treated to a venue tour as well as in-depth panel discussions and presentations on the latest trends in tech and systems integration, the growth of esports venues and entertainment districts, and more.
July 24: Sports Content Management Forum, Westin NY at Times Square, NYC SVG's 13th-annual Sports Content Management Forum will be held at the Westin New York at Times Square on Wednesday, July 24. Topics will include the current state of MAM and archiving, cloud and virtualization, AI and machine learning, and object storage and next-gen storage technologies.
July 25: SVG Sports OTT Forum, NYIT Auditorium on Broadway, NYC Over-the-top distribution and direct-to-consumer live streaming packages are poised to dramatically change the world of live sports video. While the entire media ecosystem is approaching this new era of consumer behavior, the sports media industry faces its own unique set of challenges and opportunities. In response to the SVG community's need to collaborate on these new technologies and business opportunities, SVG will have its second-annual SVG Sports OTT Forum in New York City.
Aug. 20: IP Production Forum, Telemundo Center, Miami The 2019 IP Production Forum heads to Miami where we will have a chance to get a behind-the-scenes look about one of the newest and most state-of-the-art IP-based facilities in the nation: Telemundo's Miami-based headquarters.
