BroadStream continues investment strategy to expand global reach and technical expertise

Juan Carlos Ortolan and Mark Davis join the BroadStream team to support the Company's continued growth in the worldwide playout market

Atlanta, GA USA - 27 June 2016 - BroadStream Solutions, a leading provider of broadcast playout and automation solutions, has invested further in the recruitment of key industry talent across its Sales and Engineering teams.

Juan Carlos Ortolan has been appointed to the new position of Business Development Director for the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) as BroadStream continues to expand its global reach.

Ortolan's career in broadcast spans over 30 years in various sales and sales management roles with companies such as NVISION, Miranda, Leitch, and Ross Video, as well as a Marketing Manager role with SONY Electronics. Ortolan, who is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, English and Italian has spent the last 20+ years in executive sales and marketing roles in Latin America and brings a wealth of broadcast experience and knowledge to the team.

David Bowes, CFO, remarked, Juan Carlos brings a wealth of international business experience in Latin America and a depth of knowledge in the broadcast industry that will enhance and strengthen our customer base in this important geographic area.

On the technical side, BroadStream is pleased to announce that Mark Davis has joined the organization as a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineering Group, based in our Atlanta headquarters.

Davis has logged over 14 years in key technical positions including operations, project management and Senior Support Engineer. Over the last 10 plus years he has focused on designing broadcast operation systems and implementing automation and broadcast solutions with key industry giants including NBC, CNN, Fox, Turner, Encompass, Univision and ESPN.

While at Turner Broadcasting, Davis held various roles including Senior Broadcast Operations Coordinator, Master Control Operator, and Broadcast Operations Supervisor. He was most recently Project Manager and Principle Support Engineer for Snell Advanced Media.

Mark came highly recommended and is one of the most self-motivated individuals I've met, says CFO David Bowes. His experience with broadcast operations as well as his ability to train and mentor staff will be invaluable.
