Turk Telecom Group selects Irdeto for satellite service security

Digital platform security specialist Irdeto will be providing security for a new Tivibu satellite pay-TV service from Turk Telecom Group. Irdeto's media access and management services use Irdeto CA to give Turk Telecom Group renewable security across new DVB-S set-top boxes that offer content to non-fibre customers.

With Turk Telecom Group's recent acquisition of broadcast rights for UEFA Champions League and Europa League football, it was important to ensure this sports content was protected and available to a wide range of customers across both existing fibre networks and the new satellite network. Utilising Irdeto's services Turk Telecom Group was able to rapidly roll-out its new service with STBs available in stores to meet the service launch date of June 2015.
