Ningbo bonded area , as one of the first trial sites of cross-border e-commerce and the core of developmental zone , has become the top priority of the cross-border e-commerce of the city as a whole with more than 450 settled enterprises, over 10 million consumers and a sales volume of 4.4 billion RMB . Since the construction of Ningbo cross-border e-commerce comprehensive experimental zone began, the gradual transformation of Ningbo Bonded Area and active integration with the construction of the city's cross-border e-commerce comprehensive experimental zone have been witnessed.
The pattern of cross-border e-commerce further optimized
Now, the adjustment of structure is being accelerated with the pattern of cross-border e-commerce optimized , which is done through the acceleration of the import and cultivation of fist cross-border e-commerce projects ,the construction of the destination of worldwide special imports, the trade and comprehensive service platform , the set-up of the overseas warehouses for cross-border export, the expansion of online platform for e-commerce marketing.
The flagship online to offline store of Kaola, Netease has been officially opened in Ningbo since a couple of days ago. As the first online to offline brand experiencing store in the nation(affiliated to Kaola) ,it has gained a ground of nearly 500 square meters for the exhibition of 7 categories of products (around 1000 types ) including mother-baby necessities, healthcare and nutritional products, cosmetics, home appliances ,light luxuries ,etc.
The set-up of Online to Offline Kaola flagship experience venue is another significant part of the strategic cooperation between Netease and Ningbo Bonded Area said ZhangLei, CEO of KaoLa Overseas Purchase ,Net ease on June 6th .The consumers here can directly have a multi-dimensional experience of world-famous brands ranging from the commodity quality to their prices, which improves their recognition and trust for online products. The gradual build-up of online sales center of the imports from Ningbo Bonded Area and that of online mid and eastern European special commodity exhibition serve as the next step taken by Kaola,Netease for better integration in Ningbo.
The expansion of online e-commerce marketing platform goes besides tight cooperation with Netease. On April 8th , 1688 import origin platform officially went live in Ningbo ,which was the crystal of the efforts of Alibaba and Ningbo Bonded Area. It is estimated that the operational cost of e-commerce enterprises will witness a reduction of 20 to 40 percent if the goods are imported through the platform. It can search authentic origins and excellent manufacturers globally on the basis of Alibaba's influence then gain the dealership in Chinese market According to Chen Yiming, Director of Import in Alibaba 1688, the cross-border e-commerce enterprises can store their imports in bonded warehouses after importing the goods through 1688 platform .The goods can be dispatched without delay once orders are received , which shortened the time of purchase by 15 days at least compared to the past.
The industrial chain of e-commerce services getting completed
The relatively small capacity of Ningbo Bonded Area's warehouses and lagged operation mode used to be a big obstacle in the way of cross-border e-commerce development in Ningbo Bonded Area. said by the head of the bureau of economic development, Ningbo Bonded Area. But the year 2015 witnessed a rapid development of the public warehouses of Kerry Logistics located in the logistical center of Ningbo bonded area and that of the self-managed warehouse built by e-commerce enterprises, which transformed the mode of cross-border warehouse storage from public warehouse operation only to public warehouses plus self-owned ones . According to statistics , the area of cross-border warehouses in Ningbo bonded area expanded from 50 thousand square meters to nearly 300 thousand square meters from the year 2014 to 2015,which means an expansion of 5 times.
A modernized cross-border warehouse-stored logistical base has been established while the managerial upgrade of cross- border warehouse storage logistics is underway in Ningbo bonded area ,in which frozen commodity storage logistical services and special Internet warehouse services are provided. At the end of 2015, the cross-border e-commerce warehouse of Fraun Logistic Tech. Co .ltd was put into operation with an area of 3600 square meters equipped with special freezers for the storage of raw food including fruits and meat. The operation of such warehouses filled the blank of the frozen commodity logistics in Ningbo Bonded Area thus diversified the commodity structure there.
On January ,2016 the cross-border bonded warehouse of Hainan Airlines officially opened in Ningbo with an area of 10 thousand square meters on the basis of international logistics, domestic cross-border e-commerce storage ,efficient customs clearance advantages inherent in Hainan Airlines. The combination of cross-border commodity purchase and sales plus international delivery capabilities has become a focus ,which is done through global online purchase with origins. Customized and diversified financial service products have been created backed by large data set and online trade platform. A further step has been taken by Ningbo Bonded Area with the unique advantages of Hainan Airlines' cross-border bonded warehouses in Ningbo on the New Silk Road on the sea .
