Studiotech Belgium supplies further broadcast systems to Africa

Brussels, Belgium, 6th September 2017:

Systems company Studiotech Belgium has supplied further broadcast equipment and expertise to Africa. The 8th Francophone Games were held recently in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Africa, and to televise the events, RTI (Radiodiffusion T l vision Ivoirienne) awarded a contract to Studiotech Belgium to supply audiovisual equipment including a DSNG OB van for production and transmission.

The van integrated four Sony HD production cameras, a 240 cm band C satellite dish, video mixer, audio console, an Evertz matrix and Vislink encoders and decoders. Audio-visual production was based around a For-A switcher and Yamaha audio console with an Evertz matrix and glue products to the requirements of the user. A Dalet MAM system was included featuring a Playout system with more than 15 HP computers, an EMC 212 TB server and an LTO 7 tape library.

The OB Van was built on an Iveco chassis and included a dual 400W HPA, and a three-phase power generator/inverter system. Before Shipment all the equipment was installed, configured and fully tested at Studiotech in Belgium . A special effort was made by Studiotech engineers in order to optimise the available space and to ensure the maximum comfort of all.

Studiotech supplied 6 engineers on-site, installing, integrating, testing, training and offering on-site guidance for the RTI operators to get the best performance from the equipment.

This van, along with a similar sister van delivered earlier, were used for live transmission of the CNJF games all over the world.

Studiotech successfully met a very tight delivery schedule to deliver on time.

Francophone Games - information:

The 8th Francophone Games (CNJF) were held in Abidjan, the economic capital of the Ivory Coast, from 21 to 30 July 2017, and were attended by 4,000 athletes and artists from 53 nations.

Held every four years in the post-Olympic year, the Francophonie Games, under the banner of friendship, invite the youth of the French speaking countries to meet through sporting events and cultural competitions, digital games, sports, dances etc. 500 million viewers were targeted, and over 900 journalists attended.
