Vizrt promotes workflow collaboration with Adobe integrations

Fast-turnaround workflows and online editing benefits to be demonstrated at IBC2015

During IBC2015 Vizrt will demonstrate the latest integrations between its graphics and asset management tools and Adobe's editing software. These product integrations result in a modern, collaborative graphics and video editing experience with the new generation of HTML panels.

Fast-turnaround workflows with edit-in-placeThe latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC features a new Viz One HTML panel that speeds the recall and playback of video content while editing. The MAM integrated panel uses HTML5 video for playback and gives editors complete access to their Viz One media assets. This function allows them to browse, search and preview content from within the Premiere Pro platform. Its latest version renders media into Viz One significantly faster than previous iterations. This means edits can be turned around even quicker. This is achieved by allowing Adobe Media Encoder to render the sequences and having Viz One start processing the files while they render. When used together with online editing workflows and SAN Storage in Viz Engine, this integration gives customers an extremely fast end-to-end solution for editing and playout.

Meta-graphic and Transition Logic scene supportAt IBC2015, Vizrt and Adobe will also demonstrate a new Adobe Premiere Pro CC content panel that enables tighter integration with Vizrt's graphics plugin for NLEs - part of the Viz Trio and Viz Pilot live graphics systems. Rather than burning graphics into video and rendering a final version of the clip within the graphics plugin, this feature lets editors save the graphics metadata alongside newly edited video, saving both to Viz One. Both elements can then quickly be moved into a playlist or rundown ready for on-air play out.

New for IBC2015 is support for Transition Logic scenes when using Viz Pilot in the newsroom. The plugin also enables aspect ratio independent rendering. Users can now quickly render different content aspect ratios without needing to change settings on Viz Engine.

This means journalists and operators in the control room can make last minute changes to graphics right up until moments before air. The video and graphics elements can now be quickly composited and rendered as finished clips to be played out to air by Viz Trio or Viz Pilot. By using Transition Logic, operators are able to create seamless transitions between multiple graphics on air. This ensures graphics don't interfere with each other when they're part of the same graphics package.

Advanced Adobe After Effects project importDesigners now get more out of the integration between Adobe After Effects CC and Viz Artist as compositions can now easily be imported into Viz Artist with an updated multi-layer composition import tool. The new version of the importer includes native support for nested compositions as well as support for paragraph text layers. Additionally, control text and control image plugins are automatically assigned, which creates a faster transition from Adobe After Effects composition to a template ready for on-air use in Viz Artist.
