Steve Biucchi has joined specialist software company, Marquis, as EMEA sales director, to increase the company's reach into post-production and broadcast markets in this territory. Working closely with Marquis' managing director, Paul Glasgow, Biucchi will focus closely on integration services, disaster recovery and cloud workflows, alongside the company's intelligent archive software solutions, for the next stage of the company's expansion.
Biucchi joins with more than 25 years' media industry experience, most recently from Tektronix/Telestream, with his most recent projects including the BBC Cardiff relocation to Central Square and Discovery/Eurosport's IP transformation. Biucchi said of the appointment, I am very excited to be working with the great team at Marquis, which has huge experience in helping clients simplify their workflows using Marquis software.
Marquis helps media organisations improve the efficiency and safety of digital workflows. With recent transitions to IP-based workflows and cloud storage solutions, demands on media production infrastructure have expanded exponentially, and users often struggle with how they will fit with existing workflows. Marquis delivers secure, cost-effective integration between leading broadcast content applications, ensuring standalone or shared storage edit platforms, media asset management and automation systems all work seamlessly together.
We have a huge range of customers; big studios, broadcasters, post houses, gaming and large service providers, explained Paul Glasgow. Steve has a whole host of experience in these markets, plus excellent relationships with manufacturers and integrators, and is well placed to help us expand throughout EMEA.
