Finnkino To Use AAMs Digital Cinema Circuit Management System, Producer
London, 27 March 2014 Finland's Finnkino cinemas are to be equipped with software from leading digital cinema company Arts Alliance Media (AAM) to manage and automate the entire circuit.
The deal covers AAM's enterprise Circuit Management System, Producer, to make running the chain from one central point simple and intuitive.
Finnkino sites are already equipped with AAM's Screenwriter Theatre Management System (TMS) to manage content and playlists at each site, and the latest deal includes upgrades for all sites to Screenwriter Plus. Screenwriter Plus provides additional advanced TMS modules to make screen management even easier and more automated, including support for IP cameras to monitor each screen; intelligent CPL selection to automatically play the correct version of a film to match the screen capability (i.e. 2D/3D, aspect ratio, etc.); and enhanced advertising features to allow sites to build playlists templates with placeholders, into which pre-built ad packs are dynamically inserted.
Producer is AAM's powerful software to manage entire cinema circuits, and Finnkino will be using the software to control all its 14 sites in Finland, with the option to expand to an additional 11 Forum Cinema sites in the Baltic states. As well as monitoring all sites in the circuit centrally, and alerting users at head office whenever any show-threatening issues are likely to occur, Producer's powerful advertising and trailer management function means packs of trailers and advertisements can be created at head office and electronically sent to each individual site. For each screen, the pre-show pack is automatically inserted into the correct position in the playlist, saving staff time at site and reducing the possibility of human error.
