New mocha Pro 5 planar tracking plug-in brings GPU-accelerated, efficient VFX workflows to Adobe Creative Cloud video tools. Guildford, UK - September 7, 2016 Imagineer Systems will showcase mocha Pro 5, the major new release of its Academy Award-winning planar tracking & masking software, at IBC (Booth 7.K29) September 9-13, 2016 in Amsterdam. mocha Pro 5 provides advanced, GPU-accelerated planar tracking, including integrations with Adobe Premiere Pro CC and After Effects CC. The Boris FX / Imagineer team will also preview a new co-developed technology for 360 -enabled virtual reality tools for the emerging cinematic VR filmmaking market.
VFX artists and editors are loving the improvements found in the new mocha Pro plug-in, says Ross Shain, CMO of Boris FX and Imagineer Systems. While mocha has been an essential tool in VFX workflows for years now, the ability to now access mocha within the core Adobe video applications gives users additional tracking, roto, object removal and image stabilization features without the added hassle of managing multiple applications and projects. Shain continues, We are also excited to share a sneak peek of a development-in-progress; mocha VR, a new 360/VR plug-in designed to specifically complement Adobe's workflow for cinematic VR filmmakers.
The team at Koncept VR loves using the mocha Pro plug-in inside of Adobe After Effects, states Alex Chechelnitsky, Head of Production, Koncept VR.
The combined workflow with Mettle Skybox Studio is extremely useful for 360/VR post-production tasks, such as stabilizing shots and fixing footage. We specialize in cinematic VR projects and find mocha s unique tracking and object removal features to be a huge time-saver.
360/VR Tools
A special technology preview will feature mocha VR, upcoming new features designed for cinematic VR filmmakers to process, track and fix problematic 360 footage. mocha VR will complement Adobe video workflows for 360 tasks such as removing camera rigs, nadir patching, stabilizing drone camera jitter and more.
With growing interest in VR production, video pros are leveraging the Adobe video tools, including powerful companion applications like mocha Pro 5, to create rich, immersive experiences for their audiences, said Sue Skidmore, head of partner relations for professional video at Adobe. The ability to use mocha Pro 5 within an integrated environment, streamlines the workflow and expands the creative options for our customers.
