ToolsOnAir Teams with Camera Corps for Broadcast Workflow Demonstration at NAB In cooperation with Camera Corps, Ltd., Vienna-based ToolsOnAir will demonstrate the latest version of their acclaimed just: Broadcast Suite at booth SL1414 at NAB Show 2011 in the Las Vegas Convention Center, 11-14 April.

Delivering full TV Station in a Mac capability, the demonstration will focus on multi-camera ingest and multi-camera post-production workflow using ToolsOnAir s just:in and LiveCut software. An innovative Mac-based ingest solution, just:in enables immediate editing capability during the capture process. A complete ingest solution for single camera and multi-camera setups, it is designed to integrate seamlessly into the production workflow of any television broadcast station or post-production facility. Integral with just:in is MXF4mac which allows users to capture multiple video sources directly to the MXF container. For multi-camera setups, ToolsOnAir s LiveCut supports up to 16 cameras in total, up to four HD streams on a single Mac Pro. Paired with just:in, LiveCut creates a professional production-ready environment that enables immediate on-the-fly ingest and editing of multiple camera sources in multicamera mode. LiveCut fully integrates into existing workflows and can be customised quickly to meet specific studio needs. LiveCut is already in use in several show production formats worldwide. Camera Corps Q-Ball remote-controlled heads dramatically extend the ultra-efficient workflow of just:in and LiveCut, comments Gilbert Leb, Sales and Marketing Manager for ToolsOnAir. In a typical studio configuration, four Q-Ball cameras could be operated by a single member of staff handling pan, tilt, zoom, focus and camera line-up settings from the production control room. ToolsOnAir s just:in will record all four HD streams into a single Apple Mac Pro. Q-Ball robotic cameras, together with ToolsOnAir s production and post-production software, creates an extremely efficient system, adds Camera Corps founder and Managing Director Laurie Frost. Many specialized broadcasters are looking for exactly this type of solution, allowing a small number of creative staff within a department to process original content or even to run a complete channel. Q-Ball incorporates a built in 10x zoom optical lens and smooth-accelerating pan/tilt motors in a sturdy 115 mm diameter fully-weatherproof aluminium sphere. A 37 mm thread standard-adaptor 0.7x wide-angle lens adapter is optionally available. Master black level and colour saturation controls allow colour matching with other HD/SD cameras. Q-Ball is fully compatible with all existing Camera Corps robotic control systems and CCU panels. Up to four SDI-embedded audio channels are available to accommodate stereo microphones. Up to 96 Q-Ball cameras can be operated under full remote control from a single Camera Corps Multi Camera Keypad.
