
Globosat lanza el sistema IBMS de Pilat Media para administrar su serie completa de 32 canales

El proveedor m s grande de televisi n de pago en Latinoam rica reemplaza sus sistemas internos actuales con IBMS para gestionar la planificaci n de adquisici n de contenido, programaci n y medios
Londres 10 de enero 2012 Pilat Media Global plc [AIM: PGB], proveedor l der de software de gesti n de negocios para la industria de medios, anunci hoy que Globosat ha lanzado su instalaci n en red completa del sistema integrado de gesti n de difusi n (IBMS) de Pilat Media.
Globosat, una compa a de Globo Organizations, es el proveedor de televisi n de pago m s grande de Latinoam rica, y l der en el mercado de Brasil de programaci n de canales m ltiples por cable y v a sat lite. El 1 de diciembre, Globosat reemplaz su serie completa de 32 canales con sistema IBMS Content, un sistema centralizado a prueba de futuro' que gestiona e integra la adquisici n y planificaci n de contenido, programaci n y emisi n de bienes de medios, inventario de contenido y gesti n de derechos para las compa as m s importantes en el mundo de los medios. IBMS reemplaza varios sistemas desarrollados internamente que gestionaban la adquisici n y programaci n de contenido de Globosat durante m s de 15 a os.
Despu s de muchos a os usando nuestros propios sistemas internos, ya era hora de hacer progresar a nuestra compa a y a m s de 400 usuarios hacia una soluci n que cumple con las normas y que combina todos nuestros procesos de contenido en una plataforma nica e integrada, dijo Manuel Belmar, CFO de Globosat Programadora Ltda. Para comenzar a prepararnos para grandes acontecimientos deportivos que ser n emitidos desde Brasil concretamente la copa mundial en 2014 y m s tarde los juegos de 2016 decidimos abordar este proceso saliendo al aire con todos los 32 canales simult neamente. Esta gran conversi n de la noche a la ma ana estilo big bang ha sido ejecutada impecablemente, lo que nos brinda la confianza de que hemos elegido la plataforma ideal para gestionar toda la programaci n actual y acelerar el lanzamiento de nuevos canales y servicios .
En esta primera fase de la instalaci n de IBMS, el sistema se hace cargo de las funciones de adquisici n de contenido, programaci n y gesti n de medios para todos los canales por cable y v a sat lite de Globosat. Adem s, IBMS administra contratos, licencias y derechos para la m sica que acompa a la programaci n de Globosat, asegurando que toda la m sica sea utilizada conforme a derechos negociados y que todos los contratos est n dise ados para una m xima rentabilidad. Como componente clave del negocio de Globosat, IBMS est integrado robustamente con los sistemas de terceros de venta de publicidad y finanzas, para ofrecer un proceso sin altibajos de programaci n, emisi n y facturaci n de avisos.
