Elections 2019: EFF the most searched political party on Google today

With South Africans taking to the polls in the 2019 elections today, the top search result on Google is South African Elections 2019 with more than 200 000 entries, and the EFF more than 5 000 searches.

In addition, voters are asking Google about voting stations near me, with the term exceeding 10 000 searches.

South Africans also wanted to know more about the Economic Freedom Fighters, and Democratic Party (DA) leader, Mmusi Maimane.

While the EFF is the most searched political party, Maimane still remains the most searched political leader so far.

EFF Commissar Veronica Mente was spotted earlier today in Mombela as she cast her vote. In addition, EFF supporters even took to Orania.
