International shipping started Unterfoehring, 06th October 2011 -As promised shortly before IBC 2011 the first miniCASTER units have left our production facility on October 4, 2011 and have mostly already arrived at their final destination. The first customers are located in Japan, Malaysia, United States, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany and the UK.
After several months of hard work and intensive testing the miniCASTER team is now looking forward to receive feedback from the different regions, customers and of course our new resellers. The first ones having signed the contract are based in Germany, France and the United States of America and are very much welcome. After receiving and unwrapping the device, registering miniCASTER at my.minicaster.com is the first thing to be done. By creating an account and registering the miniCASTER , it can be managed remotely over the web or through setting up a local connection via landline.

miniCASTER delivers live content via landline, WiFi, satellite or 3G/4G/LTE network to a Wowza infrastructure and is able to address platforms like Livestream.com, ustream.com or justin.tv and also Content Delivery Networks like TV1.EU, Akamai or Limelight. Every device can be managed through an on-board menu/display or via local interface and very unique: a web based repository service. Therefore production units do not have to have any streaming know-how and can be backed-up remotely by technical experts at their headquarter if needed.
About miniCASTER
miniCASTER is a truly mobile hardware based H.264 HD camera-top live encoder in pocket size that converts any camera or video source signal into an IP based livestream and delivers it via landline, dualband WiFi, satellite or 3G/4G networks to the leading Content Delivery Networks and video platforms. Through a built-in lithium battery it is possible to work stand-alone. miniCASTER generates one HD and one SD Stream in parallel and is able to record on SD-Card in the device itself at the same time. The miniCASTER encoder in pocket size comes in two different versions and can be operated in real-time via a web-based remote management portal.
