Crime Comedy Series GG Precinct' Unveils Bizarre Crime Cases and Additional Cast in Main TrailerPlay Video

GG Precinct, a spin-off crime comedy series of the box office hit, Marry My Dead Body, releases its main trailer today, revealing seven additional cast members. This includes members from the popular Taiwanese YouTube series, Muyao 4 Super Playing - Tai Chih-yuan, Lin Po-sheng, Kunda Hsieh, Winni, Wu Yang-lin and Maria Abe. The cast is also joined by award-winning singer-songwriter Huang Hsuan (YELLOW).

The highly anticipated main trailer features a series of peculiar crimes with the most outlandish killing methods. A victim covered in chicken feathers and wearing a reindeer antler hat, a female body hung by her hair and a corpse dangling from a bridge, a series of bizarre crime scenes establish the premise that those who misuse an idiom may be the target of a serial killer. Yet, the infamous Chinese idiom serial killer was apprehended more than two decades ago, leaving the motley cops of GG Precinct with a ton to investigate and unearth.

Veteran host and actor Tai Chih-yuan returns to acting in a series after ten years, portraying an infamous serial killer who sets up the crime scene as riddles to Chinese idioms before he is arrested. On joining the cast, Tai comments, The biggest takeaway from being a part of this production is to star among these young and talented actors, and I have learnt so much from them! . Director Cheng Wei-hao and Yin Chen-hao also shared that the chilling opening appearance of Tai's role as a manipulative Chinese idiom killer, confined to a straitjacket and muzzle as featured in the trailer, is an ode to the terrifying classic, Hannibal Lecter.

In the main trailer, fans are also treated to a jaw-dropping first look of popular singer-songwriter Huang Hsuan (YELLOW), who makes his acting debut in GG Precinct. With a head full of luscious hair, Huang stars as a cram school Chinese teacher, well-loved by female students for his humor and charisma. It was an exhilarating experience starring alongside the remarkable cast of GG Precinct, and I hope that everyone will ready themselves for one of the most outrageous and exciting series in the 21st century, said Huang.

GG Precinct is a unique genre-blending crime comedy series that builds on the acclaim of box office hit Marry My Dead Body, which is also Taiwan's official selection for the 2024 Academy Awards. In GG Precinct, rookie police captain Lin Tzu-ching (Gingle Wang) and goofy detective Wu Ming-han (Hsu Kuang-han) face a trail of murders staged as chilling Chinese-idiom word games and race to solve the serial killers deadly puzzles.

Get ready for six episodes of mind-boggling mystery and side-splitting humor in GG Precinct, premiering August 22, only on Netflix.
