Americana star is recognized as one of his generation's most gifted and engaging songwriters
Singer-songwriter Todd Snider and special guest Chicago Farmer will perform at Rocky Mount Mills at 7:00 p.m. on February 1 inside the historic Power House event venue. The performance is the second installment of the Americana Mill Music Series at Rocky Mount Mills that celebrates sounds merged from the traditions of folk, country, bluegrass, blues, rock, gospel, and more. General admission and VIP tickets for the seated show are available at Etix.com.
Fresh off his first-ever inclusion in the 2019 Newport Folk Festival, Snider will perform at Rocky Mount Mills in support of his new album Cash Cabin Sessions, Vol. 3 which contains some of his best work as a writer. But what really jumps out on the album is Snider's growth as a musician and vocalist. He plays all the instruments on the record, and his guitar work and harmonica playing are nothing short of exceptional.
Joining Snider will be the son of a small town farming community, Cody Diekhoff, who performs as Chicago Farmer. Profoundly inspired by fellow midwesterner John Prine, hes a working-class folk musician to his core. His small town roots, tilled with city streets mentality, are a natural fit for the Americana Mill Music Series at Rocky Mount Mills.
