Telef nica lanzar servicios de video en siete nuevos mercados latinoamericanos en 2016 principalmente bajo la modalidad de VoD (v deo bajo demanda) y canales de televisi n lineales. Se trata de Ecuador, Uruguay, Panam , Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala y Nicaragua. El lanzamiento ser escalonado a lo largo del pr ximo a o.

Telef nica ofrece actualmente estos servicios en Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Per y Venezuela a trav s de distintas plataformas como IPTV, DTH, CATV, VoD y OTT.

Con el lanzamiento en siete nuevos pa ses latinoamericanos, Telef nica sigue incrementando su apuesta por los servicios de v deo con una gran diversidad de contenidos, tambi n propios y exclusivos, que sus clientes pueden disfrutar a trav s de diferentes plataformas tecnol gicas y m ltiples dispositivos.
En Brasil, a cierre del tercer trimestre de 2015 Telef nica hab a incrementado el n mero de clientes de televisi n de pago en m s de un 150% interanual tras la integraci n de GVT en la compa a en mayo pasado, lo que ha permitido a Vivo TV situarse entre los l deres del mercado local de este sector. Fuera de Brasil, el n mero de accesos de TV de pago de Telef nica en Latinoam rica crecieron interanualmente un 17%, destacando el 29% de crecimiento alcanzado en Per , donde la operadora es l der del mercado.
