First full-featured cloud-based intercom software draws praise for extending comms outside the studio
Cleveland, Ohio (November 2, 2023) - Telos Alliance is happy to announce that a 2023 Product Innovation Award from industry news publication TV Tech has been bestowed upon the Telos Infinity VIP Virtual Intercom Platform for the introduction of the Telos Infinity VIP App.
According to TV Tech, Product Innovation Awards are given to recognize excellence in manufacturing of products serving the TV/pro video industry. Prior to winning the Product Innovation Award, the Infinity VIP App also won a Best In Show award from TV Tech at IBC 2023.

Infinity VIP, a part of the Telos Infinity family of matrix-free IP-connected intercom products, is a cloud-based intercom system that enables TV producers, technicians, and field operators to put intercom capabilities right where the action is, overcoming the boundaries of the physical plant. Infinity VIP can extend stations' existing AES67 or SMPTE 2110-30 compatible intercom systems to smartphones, tablets, and PCs (laptop or desktop) using standard HTML5-capable browsers.
The award-winning Infinity VIP App features a unique new system for easy panel sharing and configuration that allows administrators to invite participants via email links that automatically open the app with pre-configured virtual intercom panels, while native Infinity VIP apps for Android and iOS devices make it possible to extend comms to any smartphone or tablet. For local devices, such as dedicated tablets in the studio, virtual panels are easily accessible using a beacon address and corresponding password.
Deployment flexibility is another Infinity VIP advantage: Infinity VIP can be hosted on the client's choice of a hardware appliance or existing server on-premises. Or, for organizations that have fully embraced the cloud, Infinity VIP supports cloud platform installations via AWS (Amazon Web Services). Finally, Infinity VIP is available in a SaaS model, incorporated into prominent platforms like Grass Valleys AMPP (Agile Media Processing Platform) and Vizrts Viz Now.
Clients tell us that Infinity VIP's accessibility, ease of use, and sharing capabilities make it the perfect solution for any number of scenarios, says Schur. Sporting events, on-site interviews and panel discussions, remote production, talent working from home studios, anywhere remote comms are needed without the inconvenience of hardwired connections or RF shots.
Telos Infinity intercom products include a full ecosystem of rackmount and desktop intercom panels, belt packs, headsets, and enterprise software for complete control of large-scale intercom installations. Infinity products boast native support for AES67 and ST 2110-30 AoIP standards, enabling easy interoperability with products from third-party manufacturers while connecting with other Telos Alliance products via Livewire+. Infinity products can also be easily integrated with legacy analog, AES, SDI, and MADI systems.
