HP and FireEye Announce First of its Kind Global Alliance for Incident Response and Advanced Threat ServicesCompanies to launch unique incident response, compromise assessment and advanced threat management services
PALO ALTO, Calif., and MILPITAS, Calif. April 21, 2015 HP (NYSE: HPQ) and FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: FEYE) today announced a first of its kind, go-to-market partnership to make incident response, compromise assessment and threat detection offerings available to HP Enterprise Services' most strategic clients globally.
Customers will benefit from HP Enterprise Services' unparalleled global reach, portfolio of world-class security service offerings, including a comprehensive suite of security remediation services underpinned by FireEye's advanced threat detection, intelligence, methodologies and incident response expertise. The companies will develop an industry standard reference architecture providing customers with a blueprint for advanced threat protection services and incident response capabilities.
Together, HP Enterprise Services and FireEye will jointly go to market with these offerings:
Global Incident Response from HP and Mandiant will investigate, assess and resolve cyber security events ranging from single-system compromises to enterprise-wide intrusions by advanced attack groups that span hundreds of thousands of systems.
Advanced Compromise Assessment from HP and Mandiant is a vital step in answering the most important question for every enterprise, whether or not they have been breached. This offering provides HP Enterprise Services strategic customers with the most advanced compromise assessment in the industry and is the first step in transforming their IT security program.
Both these offerings are built around the best practices established by Mandiant and are based on key learnings from a decade of responding to sophisticated attacks and the world's highest profile breaches.
ManagedAdvanced Threat Protection Services from HP and FireEyeenable the companies to provide 24/7 security monitoring for indications that a cyber-attack has bypassed traditional technology defenses. HP and FireEye threat analysts will engage as an extension of an organization's cyber security team, providing insight and intelligence from the front lines. In addition responding to incidents, HP and FireEye will proactively hunt for indicators of compromise (IOCs) in the customer's environment.
