PlayBox Technology Powers New HD Production and Playout Facility at First National Channel, Tajikstan

Tajikstan s state television broadcaster, First National Channel, has chosen PlayBox Technology Neo as the core of a new production, graphics and playout facility at its studios in the Tajik capital city, Dushanbe. Supplied by Kiev-based broadcast system integrator OPTA Video, the new system forms part of a major expansion to 1080i high definition.

"Our requirement was for a complete server-based scheduling, interstitials-preparation and play-to-air solution centralised into our master control room. We also needed to equip the FNC newsroom with two production channels for news story preparation plus an extra two channels for content routed to two video walls. OPTA Video partnered with us to create a fully integrated system which works very well and is popular with our production staff as well as the technical team."
