Canon U.S.A. Announces Filmmaker Anna Akana As Its Next Rebel with A Cause, Continuing A Year-Long Celebration Of the 5 Anniversary Of the Canon EOS Rebel SLR Camera

Anna Akana and Canon U.S.A., Inc., together announced that Akana will become the latest personality featured in the Rebel With A Cause initiative, which celebrates 25 years since the introduction of Canon's first EOS Rebel SLR camera. Following in the footsteps of American daredevil Nik Wallenda and GRAMMY Award winning record producer Swizz Beatz, Akana, a strong proponent of anti-bullying and suicide prevention, will be featured in a video dedicated to her own unique cause, debuting in September.

As someone who loves creating comedic content with a message, I'm excited to be partnering with Canon as their next Rebel With A Cause, said actress and filmmaker Anna Akana.

The Evolution of the Canon EOS Rebel Camera

Canon announced the first ever EOS Rebel SLR camera 25 years ago in August 1990, changing the game in the SLR camera category.
